Smokey Bandits are the project of George Fotiadis and Dimitris Nassios. They are music producers from Greece. The project founded in 2007 and took its name of George's and Dimitris's favorite movie ''Smokey and the Bandit'' (1977). Their sound is most influenced by cult movie soundtracks from directors like Quentin Tarantino, Guy Ritchie, Danny Boyle and Pedro Almodovar. They use elements of swing jazz, funk, balkan, mexican, groove, dub, tango, traditional and gypsy music. The result is very interesting and amusing.
