Gabin is a nu-jazz band, based in Italy, consisting of Massimo Bottini and Filippo Clary. The name of tha duo is a reference to the most popular French actor of 30's-40's, antihero Jean Gabin. The mixture of nu-jazz, soul, electronic and funk, characterized them from the beggining. Gabin have collaborated with many jazz artists such as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Edwyn Collins and China Moses. Their music appears on the compilation Hotel Costes, TV shows like Sex And The City and Six Feet Under and films like Fantastic Four and Sex Drive.
