The Beloved is an electronic music duo based in United Kingdom. But in the beggining they were a band of five members, Jon Marsh, Steven Waddington, Helena Marsh, Tim Havard and Guy Gausden. The group formed in 1986 under the name Journey Through. Later they changed their name to The Beloved. At first the band had guitar oriented sound, but soon began using drum machines and dance music elements. Their sound changed to electro-pop, house, new wave and post-punk. The duo consists of Marsh and Waddington.
