Ibrahim Maalouf is a trumpeter, composer and arranger, who lives in Paris and was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1980. He began studying the trumpet when he was 7 years old with his father Nassim Maalouf who was also trumpet player and invertor of the micro-tonal trumpet, allowing you to play Arab makams on the trumpet. Ibrahim's style is a unique compination of Arabic music, jazz, fusion, electro world and classical music. He has collaborations with artists such as Amadou & Mariam, Matthieu Chedid, Lhasa de Sela, Marcel Khalife, Vincent Delerm, Elvis Costello and Sting. Maalouf's debut album 'Diasporas' was released in 2007.
