De-Phazz is a downtempo-jazz-electro project led by producer Peter Baumgartner, based in Berlin, Germany. He changes his crew for every new album. The most permanent members are Karl Frierson and Pat Appleton. Some more artists are Barbara Lahr, Marcus Lang, Bernd Windisch, Frank Spaniol and Oli Rubow. The name of the project is derived from Destination Phuture Jazz and founded in 1997. The style of De-Phazz is a mixture of downtempo, jazz, trip-hop, soul, latin and electronic. The debut album 'Detunized Gravity' was released in 1997.
