Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings are a funk band from Brooklyn, USA and formed in 1996. They influenced by 60's-70's funk and soul music. The members of the group are Sharon Jones (vocals), Homer Steinweiss (drums), Binky Griptite (guitar), Bugaloo Velez (congas), Dave Guy (trumpet), Joe Crispiano (guitar), Bosco Mann (bass), Neal Sugarman (tenor sax), Cochemea Gastelum (baritone sax), Sauntra Williams (vocals) and Starr Duncan (vocals). They use analoge equipment for recording and their instruments also limited to those that would have been available up until mid 70's. Their debut album 'Dap Dippin' With Sharon Jones And The Dap-Kings' was released in 2002.
