The Harlem Experiment is a collaborative project including guitarist Carlos Alomar, trumpeter Steven Bernstein, Don Byron (sax, clarinet), Eddie Martinez (guitar), bassist Ruben Rodriguez, drummer Steve Barrios and guests vocalists Queen Esther, Taj Mahal (Henry Saint Clair Fredericks), trumpeter Olu Dara, James Hunter (vocals, guitar), turntbalist Larry Legend and poet muMs da Schemer (Craig Grant). The masteminds of the project are producers Aaron Luis Levinson and Andy Blackman Hurwitz. The Experiment is a tribute to Harlem's music. After 'The Philadelphia Experiment' (2001) and 'The Detroit Experiment' (2003), 'The Harlem Experiment' album was released in 2007.
