The James Taylor Quartet is a jazz-funk band from Rochester, England. James Taylor formed the group in 1987 after breaking-up of The Prisoners. The current JTQ line-up is James Taylor (Hammond organ), Chris Montague (guitar), Andrew McKinney (bass) and Adam Betts (drums). In recording and live perfomances the quartet cooperate with John Willmott (tenor sax/flute), Nick Smart (trumpet) and Yvonne Yanney (vocals). JTQ's debut album 'The Money Spyder' was released in 1987.
