The Souljazz Orchestra is a band from Ottawa, Canada. The band was founded in 2002 and the members are Pierre Chetien (keyboards, guitar, bass, percussion, vocals), Marielle Rivard (vocals, percussion), Ray Murray (baritone sax, percussion, vocals), Philippe Lafreniere (drums, percussion, vocals), Steve Patterson (tenor sax, percussion, vocals) and Zakari Frantz (alto sax, flute, percussion, vocals). The Souljazz Orchestra combine jazz, funk, soul with afrobeat and latin percussions. Their debut album 'Uprooted' was released in 2005.
